Falling Down and Getting Back Up

It is so easy to fall down and so difficult to get back up.

It is a commonly know fact that many families are one or two paychecks or one major medical event away from financial disaster.

The current economic conditions are putting further strain on regular citizens while major corporations are seeing record profits across the board.

Something is wrong with this picture but it is not unfamiliar in history.

If you have messed up your credit or had an eviction it can be very difficult to find housing. It is very difficult to get and hold down a job when you don't have a home. It takes time to rebuild your financial reputation. Time you don't have when you are struggling just to get to the next day.

Some people can get back up on their own but most people need help and support.

What would a more equitable world look like?

Do massive corporations and bloated bank accounts at the top really benefit humanity?

A lift to the bottom lifts us all. How can we better support the average citizen? How can we help those who have fallen to recover?
